About the Author
Tom Fullerton, MD is a retired surgeon, lifelong learner and science-fiction enthusiast whose curiosity spans medicine, the natural world and the possibilities of the universe.
Born and raised in eastern South Dakota, he graduated from the University of South Dakota and earned his medical degree from the USD School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency in Des Moines, Iowa, before settling in Sioux Falls with his wife, Anne Marie.
After 30 years in surgical practice, a serious heart attack and a difficult recovery led to a new chapter of life. His fascination with quantum physics, research and science fiction became part of the creative spark for Beacon of the Immortals—his first full-length science-fiction novel.
He also wrote the children's book A Dog's Nose Knows. Today, his story reflects a continuing commitment to learning, imagination and family.
